A Message to White Deconstructing Christians Right Now
Before we had outrage, we were comfortable with our complicity.
This is a hard conversation, but it’s one we need to have.
In this video, I’m speaking directly to white deconstructing Christians about what this moment requires of us—not just anger, but pause and reflection. What I witnessed in response to this ruling revealed something deeper. Not just grief and outrage, but a level of disconnection that shows how much work we still have to do.
This isn’t about staying silent. It’s about how we show up. It’s about centering Black voices, committing to education, and being honest about the systems we were shaped by—systems that were never neutral.
I’m including myself in this.
If you’re doing this work, this is an invitation to pause, reflect, and go deeper.

“I’m including myself in this.” Yeah, me, too. This is not a time for any smug complacency. We’re at a point where we’ve got to pause and worth fierce intentionality go deep and then deeper on multiple issues—all of which revolve around racism, and the fact that whatever is blocking us from dealing with it as a nation has to be identified, called out and them moved against. This is critical work anyone with a heart and a brain cannot shirk.
In centering the black voice in this response to a corrupted supreme court further selling out Americans to powerful wealthy dark money actors, let's also ask how can white people best relieve the burden of exhausted black advocates?
Make the response tactic-specific.
Perhaps a starting point is to align tactics to Stacy Abrams 10-steps work, which recently merged with The Save Movement.
